Typing numerals in Word 2007

In MS Word 2007, the keys ctrl-alt-1/2/3 are used as shortcut keys for bold, color change and other formatting functions. As a result of which, users are unable to type the first few numerals of a language easily.

To resolve the above problem, follow these steps:

In MS Word 2007, the keys ctrl-alt-1/2/3 are used as shortcut keys for bold, color change and other formatting functions. As a result of which, users are unable to type the first few numerals of a language easily. To resolve the above problem, follow these steps:
  1. Exit Lipikaar
  2. Download and install this Gujarati Keyboard - http://download.lipikaar.com/Keyboards/GujaratiKeyboard.exe
  3. After the installation is complete, go to the Language settings in Control Panel
  4. Under Gujarati Language, Remove the "Gujarati" keyboard and let the "Gujarati Keyboard" remain. Gujarati Keyboard
  5. Apply settings and close the settings panel.
  6. Restart Lipikaar. Open Word 2007.
  7. Select Gujarati Language in Lipikaar. Now when you type "1" you will see ૧ and so on.
