In MS Word 2007, the keys ctrl-alt-1/2/3 are used as shortcut keys for bold, color change and other formatting functions. As a result of which, users are unable to type the first few numerals of a language easily.

To resolve the above problem, follow these steps:
- Exit Lipikaar
- Download and install this Gujarati Keyboard - http://download.lipikaar.com/Keyboards/GujaratiKeyboard.exe
- After the installation is complete, go to the Language settings in Control Panel
- Under Gujarati Language, Remove the "Gujarati" keyboard and let the "Gujarati Keyboard" remain.

- Apply settings and close the settings panel.
- Restart Lipikaar. Open Word 2007.
- Select Gujarati Language in Lipikaar. Now when you type "1" you will see ૧ and so on.
