Installation

As a pre-requisite, you should have Mozilla Firefox. Click on the Firefox button to download Mozilla Firefox.
In Firefox, simply click on the "Click Here to Download" button you see on this page.
A "Software Installation" window will pop-up. When the "Install Now" button appears, click it.
Click on the "Restart Firefox" button or Restart Firefox.
You will see at the bottom right corner of the Firefox status bar. You are now all set to be a Lipikaar!

Usage

From the top menu bar, go to View > Character Encoding and make sure Unicode (UTF-8) is selected. If not, click on View > Character Encoding > More Encodings > Unicode > Unicode (UTF-8).
To start using the Lipikaar extension, click on and click on "Enable" in the menu that appears. You can also use the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Alt+L to enable or disable the extension.
If it is the first time you are using Lipikaar, choose your default language and click "OK" on the popup that appears.
Click on again. From the menu, go to "Choose Language" and select the language of your choice.
Congratulations! You are now ready to type in your language.
At any time, you can get help by clicking on and clicking help or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+H.

Our goal at Lipikaar is to make your Indic language typing experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. Please take a minute to read the following:
Cancellation of Registration: 
You may cancel your registration with Lipikaar at any time, and cancellation will be effective immediately. WE DO NOT PROVIDE REFUNDS OR CREDITS FOR SOFTWARE ALREADY PURCHASED THROUGH THE LIPIKAAR WEBSITE.
Audit: Databyte reserves the right to audit your registration from time to time to check fraud, breach of this agreement or any illegal activity.

Users may not use spam to obtain referrals. You may not use spam to gather referrals, "Spam" includes:
- Unsolicited e-mail, i.e., e-mail sent to people you do not know personally, unless those people have expressly asked to receive e-mail announcing programs of this type.
- Mass, bulk or "junk" e-mails of any kind, unless those people have expressly asked to receive e-mail announcing programs of this type.
- Use the net, chat room or message board postings that are unrelated to the topic of discussion of the particular news group, chat room or message board.
Databyte reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate the Registration of any User.

If Databyte has reasonable evidence that a particular User has used the Lipikaar website, or associated Referral program to spam the Lipikaar website, other Users of the Lipikaar website, it has the right to terminate the spammers registration. In addition the User may be subject to government penalties and other legal consequences under the law applicable. Our anti-spam policy provides more details and is incorporated by reference into this agreement.

Your relationship with Databyte: Your relationship with the company is that of an independent customer. You are not an employee or agent of Databyte. Neither you nor other Users are authorized to make any statement or representations on behalf of Databyte, the Lipikaar website. Databyte will not be bound by, or be liable for any statement or representation made by you or by any User of the Lipikaar website.

Your relationship with other Users: You agree not to make any misrepresentations to any Users regarding the Lipikaar website or Databyte, including, but not limited to statements with respect to Users of the Lipikaar website.

Termination of any program or promotion: Databyte may offer, or terminate the promotions on the Lipikaar website at any time, by posting the termination on the website or by sending an e-mail to your e-mail address provided while registering for the service. It is your responsibility to inform the company if your e-mail address changes.

Termination of Registration: Databyte may terminate your Registration without prior notice of your Material Breach of this agreement. "Material Breach" includes:

    * Any violation of any of the provisions of this agreement
    * Acting unlawfully in relationship to Databyte or the Lipikaar website
    * If there is a breach of our Anti-Spam Policy
    * For providing incomplete, false, bogus or otherwise incorrect information to us
    * Creating duplicate or illegal Registrations


If your Registration is terminated due to Material Breach of this agreement, as provided above, any pending promotions will be forfeited, and you will not accrue any further earnings following your termination. If your Registration is terminated by Databyte you may not re-enroll or join the program unless formally invited to do so by Databyte.

Registrations are not transferable: Your Registration, password and personal details are personal to you and are not transferable. You may not allow anyone else to use your password, or Registration. You may not use anyone elses password, or Registration for anyone else. You are responsible for keeping your password secret. Databyte is not liable far any damage caused by any disclosure of your password. You may create a Registration only for yourself; you may not establish Registration on behalf of anyone else.

Additional Terms and Conditions surrounding Spam

If in Databytes opinion, there is any suspect or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Lipikaar website, or if a computer virus, bugs, unauthorized intervention, automated script attacks, website scraping, fraud, or technical difficulties or failures compromise or corrupt or affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness, or proper conduct of either Program, Databyte reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify or discontinue the Registration of any individual involved in any such harmful or illegal activities, and to suspend or block the IP address from reaching the Lipikaar website. Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Program is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Databyte reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Any attempts by an individual to access or copy the Lipikaar website via a bot script or other brute force attack or any other unauthorized means will result in the IP address becoming ineligible, in addition to any other remedies available in law or in equity. Use of automated, programmed, falsified or the like entry devices or programs is prohibited.

Users agree to not use the Lipikaar website to post spam or any other communication that is unrelated to Lipikaar or that is not for the purpose of promoting Databytes services, as determined in Databytes sole discretion. Databyte is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information supplied by Users.

By participating on the Lipikaar website, you agree to Databytes collection, use, and disclosure of any personal information you may submit for the purposes of administering and improving the Lipikaar website, set forth in these Terms and Conditions, and set forth in our Privacy Policy. To learn additional information on how the personal information collected in connection with the Program may be used, individuals should refer to the Lipikaar website Privacy Policy. The terms of the Lipikaar website Privacy Policy are incorporated herein by reference.

By using the Lipikaar software, you agree to Databytes Terms and Conditions set forth in our Software License Agreement. To learn additional information in connection with how the software may be used, individuals should refer to the Lipikaar software License Agreement. These Terms and Conditions are subject to all applicable state and local laws and regulations. You may not use the software or the website where prohibited by Law.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed from the remainder of these Terms and Conditions, which will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

FROM AND AGAINST ANY INJURIES, LOSSES, DAMAGES, COSTS, EXPENSES, CLAIMS, ACTIONS, AND LIABILITY OF ANY KIND RELATING TO OR ARISING OUT OF YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM OR ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, MISUSE OR NONUSE OF ANY REWARDS OR CREDITS YOU RECEIVE OR BELIEVE YOU SHOULD RECEIVE. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM, PARTICIPANTS WAIVE ANY AND ALL RIGHTS TO BRING ANY CLAIM OR ACTION RELATED TO SUCH MATTERS, INCLUDING A CLAIM OF AMBIGUITY IN THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, IN ANY FORUM BEYOND ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE FIRST OCCURRENCE OF THE KIND OF ACT, EVENT, CONDITION OR OMISSION UPON WHICH THE CLAIM OR ACTION IS BASED.

INTERPRETATION

INFORMATION SUBMITTED

Databyte, is free to use any comments, information, ideas, concepts, reviews, or techniques or any other material contained in any communication you may send to the Lipikaar website ("Content"), including, without limitation, responses to questionnaires or through postings to the Lipikaar website without further compensation, acknowledgement or payment to you for any purpose whatsoever including, but not limited to, developing, manufacturing and marketing products and creating, modifying or improving the Lipikaar website or other Websites. These communications are part of your relationship with Databyte and you receive them as part of the Registration. You agree that any notice, agreements, disclosure or other communications that we send to you electronically will satisfy any legal communication requirements, including that such communications be in writing.

In addition, Users can subscribe to receiving information concerning or related to the Lipikaar website.

IDENTIFICATION

In order to provide you with ease of access to your account, Databyte will place a cookie (a small text file) on any computer from which you access the Lipikaar website. When you revisit the Lipikaar website, this cookie will enable us to recognize you as the account holder and provide you with direct access to your account without requiring you to retype any password or other user identification.
