I am unable to type numbers in the Gujarati sript, what could be the reasons?

Typing numbers in Gujarati script is possible. While typing the numbers please hold down the CTRL & ALT keys and then type the necessary number key.
For example if I wish to write 1 5 8 9 in Gujarati:
To type 1
Ctrl+Alt+1 = ૧
To type 5
Ctrl+Alt+5 = ૫
Similarly you can get 8= ૮ & 9= ૯
