How to resolve Error 2738 while Installing Lipikaar on Windows Vista

Sometimes customers see the following Error Message (Error 2738) while installing Lipikaar on Windows Vista:

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2738.

The problem is not with the Lipikaar installer. This error message is a common XP-VISTA error which occurs on some machines.

Please follow these steps to fix the issue:
Note you must be logged in as Administrator or logged in as a user with admin privileges for the computer to execute these steps.

  1. On the Start menu, click Run.
  2. In the “Open” field dialog box, enter the following command and click OK: regsvr32 vbscript.dll
  3. A message should appear stating that the “DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded.”

Click OK and try installing Lipikaar again.
